Our block-coloured cotton scarves are hugely popular with our pioneers. Not only are they a practical accessory; they are also versatile throughout the seasons and have become a trademark look for many &SONS fans.
A quality scarf is a unique accessory and is a great way to show off your personality with the colours you choose.
We carefully select the finest cotton to give these traditional scarves the softest feel and then dye the fabric to create a rich, natural colouring that ages and gently fades over time. Each scarf is designed with one edge shorter than the other for styling purposes.
Took the plunge and went for a light-weight scarf, the fabric and finish surpassed my expectations and it's become and everyday essential for me.

Origins
Popularised by aviators in both World Wars to keep their necks warm and prevent chaffing, scarves have been a staple in men’s wardrobes for over 2000 years. In Ancient Rome, men wore them as 'sweat cloths' used to keep cool and dry sweat. The military has also used them as rank insignia and unit designators for many years, from the Terracotta Warriors of China to modern-day desert military units.
Style Tip:
The Drape
The simplest of all and sometimes, all you need. Simply drape the scarf around the back of the neck and let it fall on either side to add another layer and pop of colour.
Overhand Knot (Also known as Ascot)
Lay the scarf over your shoulders. Take both ends of the scarf, and tie them “over-and-under,” as if you were starting to do up a giant pair of shoelaces. Adjust the front to be a bit smooth and tighten closer to the neck as desired. Looks great tucked underneath a chore jacket.
The “Parisian”
Fold the scarf in half at the middle so that the ends touch and hold the doubled-over bend in one hand while passing the loose ends around the back of your neck with the other. Tuck the ends through the bend and pull snug. This is the most common look in the &SONS style catalogue.
