You can go really far with just a plain T-shirt and a pair of jeans. And like the jean, the hunt for a perfect tee can be daunting, so Samurai has created the best t-shirt money can buy. No need to search further.

This long-sleeve tee fits the mold seamlessly, meticulously crafted from premium Samurai Japanese cotton. The fabric possesses a remarkable character, boasting the most exquisite texture ever witnessed in a T-shirt.

The is the personal obsession of Nogami-San, the owner of Samurai Jeans, driven by the desire to create garments using Japanese cotton. What sets this Japanese cotton apart It's meticulously handpicked, with the team diligently working around the typhoons and heavy rains that sweep through the Sasayama region of Hyogo prefecture each fall. The cotton plants are planted, weeded, and harvested by hand, eschewing the use of any fertilizers or pesticides. All of this labor-intensive work is undertaken by a dedicated group of Samurai employees, a handful of loyal customers, and the friendly Sasayama locals. Consequently, producing T-shirts made from Samurai cotton is both costly and time-consuming, but the result is an exceptionally soft and high-quality cotton.

Samurai has spared no effort in crafting the best possible T-shirt. They've chosen a #10 slub yarn from their exclusive Samurai Japanese cotton, harvested by hand, and woven the fabric in Wakayama using vintage looms. For the construction, the brand has selected an old sewing workshop located in Kyoto. They've incorporated a 2-needle binder neck and employed a vintage Union Special flat seamer 36200 sewing machine from the 1960s for all the seams. Like all Samurai tees, it runs slightly small, so we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual. For example, if you typically wear a size M in American brands, you'll likely find a suitable fit with this t-shirt in size L. However, individual body types can vary, so, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.

Samurai jeans have become a legend in the Japanese denim scene. Created in Osaka by Toru Nogami in 1997, Samurai represents the perfection of Japanese tradition, with its iconography of Sengoku-era Samurais and the search for the best and nothing but the best through materials, artisan garment-making techniques and unique detailing.
